I was born in
Rochester, New York and lived there until age 18. In a
moment of insanity, I headed West. I ended up in
Albuquerque, New Mexico for seven years, experiencing
the raw beauty of the Southwest and enjoying the majesty
of the Sandia Mountains. While there I had the great
pleasure of meeting many kind and interesting people
whom today I still count as friends.
But New York was
calling...I began to miss my family and the 10 -12 feet
snow storms infamous in the upstate area. So, in the
autumn of 1990, I returned. One year later, I met my
husband, Terry at a rib eating contest. So much like
Adam and Eve, except with clothes on, ribs had brought
us together!
In 1993, I found
myself married, with a baby, living in Elmira, NY, near
the beautiful wine country and Finger Lakes of the
Southern Tier. We now reside ensconced within the
rolling hills which surround this breathtaking valley.
Life and two
children have a way of numbing a woman to her dreams and
aspirations, but once my two older children were happily
established in grade school, I began to transfer my
thoughts from journals to devotionals. My writing is
meant to encourage young mothers and all women through
God's word, the place I find my encouragement.
After enjoying
some success at non-fiction, I decided to pursue a long
forgotten dream of writing a novel. Now, in addition to
offering encouragement, I wish to offer women a moment
to escape back in time, submerging themselves in a
romantic whirlwind, giving them a much deserved break
from the stresses so many face in their daily lives, and
a chance to remember the wonder and excitement of their
first love.
Loving Purity is
awaiting publication. While working on novel number two,
I remain busy at home, a 100 year old Victorian in the
Historical District of Elmira. I live with my husband
Terry of fifteen years, my daughter, Victoria, age 14,
and son number one, Jesse age 11.
Little Beau
Daniel, son number 2 was a blessed surprise arriving
only two years ago! Most days he can be found dancing to
the Wiggles, or covered in Ranch Dressing, which he
confuses with body lotion...but that is another story...
